Cool French Music Video.

I like this video for certain reasons as you may already know. I am a guy what can I say. But I also like the direction and the music in general. I havent really seen to many music videos anymore due to the fact that MTV and VH1 would rather have stupid reality shows like the dual, and the of love series. They have completely lost their original purpose, to show new music and cool videos. I know bands still make the videos but they just dont show them. I hope you guys like it.

Is the King a King yet or just a Prince.

Tonight millions of eyes will be on game five of the Cleveland Orlando NBA series. Will LeBron take over in the game or will they fade away. This is the time that true champions come out and keep their team alive. I know they are down 3-1 in the series but it isnt done yet.

There has been a lot of hype about a possible Lebron and Kobe finals, but it looks like they spent all that advertising money on a hope and a dream. Only one of them will be making it to the finals and he works in LA. It is a general curse to start promoting something that might happen before it ever does. It is added influence to all of the other teams that they have to play against.

I know I will be wating to see if the King will rise up or will he still be a Prince.

Another really nice day.

I must admit that Boulder has had some really beautiful days since I have been here. The weekdays are always sunny with a clear view to the mountains. Every day I walk to work and I look at them. It is inspiration if you think about it, something so beautiful that is right out of your window is rediculous. Whne I was in NYC the only thing I could see is the buildings lining the street, which is pretty cool in it's own right but it doesnt have a natural beauty that mountains do.

I just hope this weather keeps up for the weekend, it always seems to take a turn for the worst on Friday. Hopefully this weekend is different.

Disappointment

Today my favorite Soccer or as the rest of the world calls it Football team lost today. I was so excited to watch the Champions League final today that I went to a bar and got ready for a good game. Manchester United versus Barcelona. I am a really big Red Devil fan due to it was the first team that I started to follow when I gave the sport a chance. I know it is like rooting for the Yankees but I like to watch the sport and follow it because of them.

The game started in Boulder around 12:45pm, so a friend and I went to The Lazy Dog off of Pearl street to watch the game. It was really packed for an afternoon game. All the TV's where on the game and people where going crazy. We where finally able to get some food and sit down in the second half but that is ok.

I got ready with my Manchester United track jacket and my ever going energy to cheer. I was one of those guys that in the middle of the bar would shout "Glory, Glory, Man United, Glory, Glory Man United." But they didnt hear me for some reason because in the first half they where completely lost. They did not look like the Red Devil Team that I am use to. At times they looked as if they never played the game before, terrible passes I mean terrible. A pass that gave up a corner kick when they didnt have to pass it back. That pass Vidic tried to give to Van Der Saar was terrible, it was way outside of the box, and he expected him to get it.

The second half got a little better substituting Tevez seemed as if it pumped more energy into the squad. But it didnt do too much. Same result they got dominated. The stars of Manchester didnt show up. The only one that did was Ronaldo and he wasnt even able to get the ball. He played way far up front in the formation and they couldnt get him the ball if his life depended on it. It is sad that he was the only ManU player to step up and do well, the rest faded away or did nothing.

Barcelona on the other hand showed up and controlled the game completely. There where times that they where distressed but the pressure didnt last for long. They soon got the ball back and shoved it to the other end of the field. I think most of their possession was in Manchesters half. At no time in the game did they not look in control. I also think Messi is one of the greatest players in the game today, he was the star of this afternoons game.

Even thought ManU lost 2-0 they are still my team. They got to the final, that is tough enough especially getting there twice in a row. There is always next year.

Go Red Devil's.

Wishing the sun would come out.

It has been five days since I last saw the sun, I am starting to wonder if it is still there or not. It has been all cloudy the last couple of days, which really puts a damper on the mood. When it is sunny out you want to do more stuff. But when it is cloudy you really dont want to go out and do anything. Well you do but then you find out that it is raining so then it sucks even more. We are a month away from May and it seems as if we are in April showers. Go away clouds, I am tempted to go up on the mountains with a high powered fan and push them west.

I am so ready to go to Chicago.

Hurry up put me on a plane and lets go. Ever since I heard from the Miami Ad School that I was going to go to Energy BBDO in Chicago I have been really antsy. I spend at least three or four of my waking hours thinking about the agency. Will I like it? What clients will I work on?

I have to block these thoughts out because it affects my work. But that is easier said then done. I am so excited I just cant hide it, I want to go, I want to go right now.

I dont know if Chicago is the city for me but I think Energy is.

Boulder Boulder

This weekend Boulder had an event, it was the Creek Festival and ended with the Boulder Boulder run. I went to it twice, once by myself and the second with some friends. To be honest I was not that impressed. It was something to do dont get me wrong but impressive it was not. It might have been because the weather didnt really want to cooperate with us being cloudy and rainy all weekend, but I just thought it was really boring. It would be way more interesting if I was a little kid, because they do have a ton of stuff to do for kids. But when you are no longer able to fit on the little rides you look for other ways to have fun. So you would keep walking until you found something to do. They did have live performances, but they didnt really make me want to stay and listen to them. I wasn't feeling it i guess. A lot of people where selling junk for a hefty price. I just dont get it, they where selling things for $60 and it looked like a child made it. But it's art, to me it looks like crap but to someone else it is a masterpiece. I just dont see it though, how can something that they mass produce be art, I am one of those people that like those one of a kind masterpieces, not something you give to a manufacturer and say hey make me a thousand.

On Monday they had the annual Boulder to Boulder 10K run. From what I understand is they had a really really good turn out for that. They have about 50,000 people run every year. But when you went you could either watch the runners or you can go look at the tents so the day really wasnt that much different, I just had friends to go with us.

bouncing back from a three day weekend

Memorial weekend is over and millions of people are making it back to work today. The three day weekend brings a lot of fun and reminds you of a time when you didnt have to slave away at a computer all day. I surprised myself, when I woke up today, I didnt think it was going to go very smoothly at all, it never seems to go my way. But for today for some reason I was up all bright and early. It usually takes me until 10am before my thoughts get in order, but around 8 I thought I was thinking clearly, I could be wrong I didnt really try and test the limits of my thinking capacity.

I think we should have more three day weekends. It seems like we work too much. You have to work about fifty or sixty hours during the week just to make good money, why dont we have more times off so people can be refreshed when they come back. A three day weekend once a month would be fantastic. Mondays are suppose to be the most unproductive day of the week, why not have it off? Why dont we have more then two weeks vacation time? If you go to any other country they have a month at least. The two guys that share the house with me are from Brazil and Germany, it is custom for them to get a month off. It would get people to be nice and relaxed and ready to work again. It sounds great to me, I am all for it.

Next stop....Chicago.

This announcement from the school comes in record time. Usually it takes a couple of more weeks for the agencies to decide where you are going to go. But today I got my answer, Energy BBDO Chicago. It was my first choice on where I wanted go, just in case you dont remember the post that I had earlier.

I know I have thought about staying at CP+B to finish my book, but that was before I got accepted. I am really, really excited to go to Chicago and produce great work. I am excited to see what I can learn and what I can do for the agency. And I am excited about being paid.

Energy BBDO get ready because I am coming to work my ass off! Thank you Energy BBDO, I wont let you down.

It's all about the Youtube baby.

Over the years Youtube has made people stars for stuff that they have done. Weither it has been cool things or really dumb things it really doesnt matter. We have had the always hilarious every time you watch him Starwars Kid, Chocolate Rain, the bringing back of a 80s pop star the rick roll and now we have the funny Keyboard Cat. It is funny and cute at the same time. Yeah the keyboard cat uses funny material to do it's jokes but it is funny even without the intro. The cat plays the keyboard so well and it looks like he is actually in the moment for it which makes it better.

Unlike the infamous Rick Roll the Keyboard cat is in the name of the video, so you know what to really expect. But every time it is just so damn funny. I want to be in the video with a Keyboard cat that is my new aspiration in life.

This is my favorite one of all.

I am happy

I am really happy right now because I just found a Jazz club in Denver that I want to go to. I really enjoy watching and listening to jazz. It is kind of a hobby of mine since I took a class in college. I wish that I was still able to play the trumpet because I would love to learn how to play jazz or even create a band. If only my parents turned me on to Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, or even Dizzy Gillespie and I might still be playing.

Damn parents screwing up my future.

America Discipline you kids!

I think America needs to learn how to discipline their kids. Look at the way America is going these little kids are starting to be evil almost right out of the crib that is why Baby discipline works the best. Because once they get a little older all hope is lost of you having control and respect from your kids. You must learn how to be stearn with them and make sure they dont give you any lip, because if they do you will be walked on for the rest of the kids life.

Review on Angels and Demons.

First and foremost I really want to read this book. I have wanted to read this book after I finished the Divinci Code. I have even bought two different copies of the book to read. I always loose them right before I am ready to read them. I only find them when I finally move to a new place.

But anyways I went to the theaters on Tuesday afternoon. Got in and waited for the show to begin. I really can not believe how much it coast for just one 20oz bottle of water, they sold them at Century theaters for $3.50, that is theater robbery. It started off really scientificy at the beginning, in a laboratory where they are looking to create something called Dark Matter. They go on to explain latter in the movie that it is the same energy that they believe created the big bang. They have a priest at the location of where they ions come together to form this partical which they latter dub as the God Partical. It gets made and the priest is communicating to the people elsewhere saying that it worked. The main woman goes and says she wants to see it and will be down. He walks out of the room for some unknown reason. When she finally gets down there she notices that someone has stolen one of the containers that is holding the partical.

In comes Robert Langdon played by one of the greatest actors on the planet, Tom Hanks. I think I would see any movie of his, and I think I have. He again plays the role of the symbolist and the Catholic Church needs his help because someone kidnapped for of the high ranking Cardinals who are favorites to become the new Pope. He agrees and goes to the Vatican. Through his mass intelligence on how to decode ancient symbols and knowledge of ancient societies.

Another great role was also put in by another one of my favorite actors Ewan McGregor. He is always believable in all his parts. He played the part of the priest that is really close to the former Pope. He has some power while they Cardinals are choosing the next Pope, because he represents the former Popes want before they pick a new one. He plays a really complex character, very compassionate, loving and caring but he also has a wild side that emerges every once and a while. He did a really good job of speaking with a light voice throughout the movie, it really makes you draw to his character.

The story takes us on a goose chase through some of the most scenic places in Rome and the Vatican City. Very beautiful camera work when it comes to displaying the arts of a medieval period. Showing that they left secrets for only the people that know what they are suppose to mean.

This movie doesnt have the codes that the first one had. It doesnt have that cool feature where when he is looking to decode something he looks at it and it comes together for him. It is way more basic, following the way that the statues are pointing. It didnt start out that way when it first started he was looking at one of Galileo's books they had water marks of secret symbols and text that where in a riddle and he had to surpass it. This was to mark the start of the journey.

I found this movie had some ups and downs, but I always wanted to stay tuned. It doesnt ask for as much attention to detail as the first one did but it ended even better than the first one. It had you find these ancient statues and things but it had a quick get. Every statue was pointing a certain way and that was they way that they had to go to stop the next murder. It got old after a while, I wish they had descriptions to make you think more. It whole movie was on this premous that the church went out and killed Illuminati members in the middle ages, for their thinking different than the church's ways. Although the church didn't like people thinking differently than them they didnt go out and kill all of them like what they tried to do with the Knights Templar. Even though the movie had it's ups and downs and parts that I didnt like it finished it off with a great ending. One that you will never see coming or at least I didnt for not reading the book.

The acting was really good in the movie, you never knew who to trust and who to take seriously. The roles and scenery where really well done. Over all I give this movie three and a half stars out of five. It was good but not great. It is one of those movies that you see once and that is good enough.

I still want to read the book.

I was wondering.

I am thinking about buying a new camera Lens for my Nikon D40. I dont know very much about camera lens because I have never bought one. I am thinking that a fisheye lens would be cool but I also think a telephoto lens would be cool as well. I am just looking for a lens that will give me a great quality picture for an average camera man. I would like to increase my photo taking skills but I really need the equipment to do so.

I went to a photo store and got the Nikon lens mag. It has many interesting things on it. I really dont know which one would be best but I think I will keep reading so I can decide which one would be the best for me.

I might have to use these sometime.

A pretty funny and educational video. I have increased my boob vocab so when my girlfriend comes I can call them many more names. I really like the scrub reference in this video. I love that show it is so funny and it really goes with the video cause it is uses the same song. I hope after watching this guys and gals you are able to increase your boobcabulary. I know I have.

Fun in the mountians

Yesterday a friend and I went to Estes Park Colorado to do some mountain climbing. We stopped at the side of the road where you come into Estes. It was a place that you would be able to view the town that is in the bowl of the mountains surrounding it.

At this place they have these little Squinnies or Chipmunks, I really dont know the difference between them, that would come and be friendly with you. If you sit still they will come and run all over you. You can even feed them like we did. I made sure that we brought some bread to give to the little guys.

We then walked down from the road and became engulfed in trees. Every once and a while we would come to a clearing but it didnt last for to long. We came to a clearing on a hill and that is where we decided which mountain we would climb.

On our way to the mountain we found a lot of deer heads that where just bones. I felt bugs bunny would come and try to give us false directions to the area we needed to go to. It was weired just seeing the skeleton head, there were no other bones left.

When we got to the foot of the mountain the entire vegetation changed. It was night and day different. One side had grass and brush while the mountain had more of a desert type feel to it with cactus and lots of rocks. My friend ended up sticking his hand in some cacti which didnt look very fun, but was funny at the time.

The way up the mountain was tough we kept switching directions. Some of the rocks we couldnt climb up because they where smooth and went at an angle. It took us a long time to get up to the spot that we wanted. We went to a spot where the cliff over looks the town very beautiful.

Going down was completely different. It was hard really hard. But we came down without getting hurt so that was good. And we finally made it back to where I parked the car.

We were not suppose to go where we did but we didnt see the sign no trespassing until we got back. We did pass buy a beautiful house on the way, tucked inbetween to mountains with a view of the city. Over all Mission Accomplished.

Idea's are like poop it comes when it wants too.

Idea's are something that can't be rushed or unthoughtout. You work on them and work on them until they finaly peak their ugly head out of the hole they come from. Sometimes it takes hours others it takes days and weeks. You never really know. Keeping your mind right is very important for your ideas, for me I have realized I need to do other things to keep me busy and that makes my ideas better. I dont know what it is but when I play video games I sit with a pad of paper and write all my ideas that come to my head about a client. When I am done I look back over my list and pick my favorite things out of it.

Here at CP+B ideas are at a premium. I think it is because of the competition or that altitude. I think it is the altitude because you get less oxygen to the brain making you think of funny little things. It has been working for me, I feel my ideas here have been really really good for some reason, I just need to execute them.

Some say that the big idea is always the hardest thing to come up with, and for me they are right and wrong. Yeah it takes a lot of time to come up with that one amazing idea that will be killer to all that look at it, but the execution has to say your idea simply. Because if it doesnt your idea will become lost. I usually have to come up with about 100 or so executions just to make the idea good.

I have learned a lot since I have been here and I hope to learn a lot more. Right now CP+B is on the top of my list to get hired at.

All they need is Samuel L Jackson

Think about it, it would be great. Samuel L Jackson would say "There is a motherfucking shark, eating the mother fucking bridge." How many great lines would he have on this movie I could tell you millions like "This motherfucking Octopus' garden is devouring the motherfucking sub." It would be great.

This movie looks so crazy it makes it great. Come on how many people lined up for this movie just to do it. It is a B movie.

This movie was hilarious.

This is behind the scene footage of Zack and Miri make a porno. And it is hilarious. I know it is based off of the I'm fucking Matt Damon but Seth Rogen is absolutely hilarious. He could make a piece of crap for a couple of hours and I would watch it, I would. The guy just has something about him that audiences latch on to and love. Elizabeth Banks is funny in this too but Seth is the man.

The movie was really funny to, it was different then all of the other Seth Rogen's comedies because it had Kevin Smith as a director. Smith is a good director and plays more in the raunchy style of comedy which is also funny. Just see everything he does when he has characters like Jay and Silent Bob, fucking genius.

good times with the gf.

This past weekend I had a really good time with my girlfriend. We went to many different places around Boulder and in Colorado. The best place that we went to was called Estes Park which is home of the Rocky Mountain tourist center or something like that. It is this little ski town that is tucked away in the valley of the mountains surrounding it. Getting there from Boulder was amazing. All of the mountains beauty on a nice sunny day. The red rocks marked the end of civilization and the beginning of beauty.

The town was a little touristy but that is ok because of the beauty that surrounds it. You cant help it great sights attract people. The little stores that made fudge and chocolate smelled amazing. We didnt stop into any of them because we ate right before we walked past them. The town was made on a stream which I found interesting. Water flows through the town and they have seemed to embrace the water way by building everything around it.

I also showed her around Boulder and she really liked it. The last couple of places where I have been she liked but she never talked about moving there. Boulder is different because when I talked to her on the phone she actually thought about leaving her favorite place in the world Chicago to come live here if I get a job. I hope I get a job at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, it would be a great start for my career. She had never talked about really moving to any of the places where I was except for now. So mission Accomplished!

CP+B has come out with a lot of ads that talk about a PC is cheaper than a mac. Interestingly true videos especially when you have people that are only given $1,500 to use. The mac book is about $1,600 and the Mac book pro starts at $2,000. But for those who haven an even more limited income there is only one choice to get a good computer, steal it. Yes I said steal it because you are doing the other person a favor by taking it off of their hands, it will be obsolete in a couple of months so they might as well get a new one while they can.

Our technology goes by so fast that they are already manufacturing the new model when you buy the old one. Thank you funny or die for making this, it is so true.

Wow.

I just went to see the new Star Trek movie. I am not the biggest Treky or even watch it anymore. But I did grow up on the Next Generation, because my parents always had it on. I had watched some of the old Star Trek but never got into it.

I loved this movie. The effects and storyline are amazing. They did a really good job casting a bunch of nobodies. Spock was chosen perfectly because I couldnt imagine anyone playing it better, I am a big fan of him from heros, playing an emotional deprived character is really good. That is because he walks that fine line of emotion and emotionless.

I will say coming from Iowa that the early scenes with Jim Kirk looked like nothing I have ever seen from Iowa. It looked more like Nebraska to me. But the character was fun and interesting.

My girlfriend loved the movie and she knows nothing about Star Trek. She wanted to go more then me and has been ranting and raving about the movie since it ended. She really liked the character that played Kirk because she thinks he is hot. I have no opinion about that.

If you are not a Treky you can watch this movie. They explain everything in a clear simple way. It is the beginning so they start you from scratch. They even bring back Lenard Nemoy as the original Spock, who comes from the future.

I give this five out of five stars. It is a must see, a good date movie and just interesting.

Number 4 as a Vike maybe.

I was happy when Bret Farve retired for the second time because I thought he was done, and never going to come back. I was wrong. There is talk about him comming to the Vikings, which would have been great last year. But this year is going to be different. I dont think he is healed from his injury that took him out last season. He hasnt done surgery for it or anything. I dont know if it was the injury or the way the team reacted to him that kept him from staying a Jet but I really want to know. I think Farve is a vast improvement over the terrible QB staff Childress has assembled, but he is not the long term answer. Yeah he is better then Jackson and Rosenfelds but really who isn't right now. Jackson is one of the dumbest players I have ever seen, just looking at him you know nothing is going on inbetween the ears. Sage Rosenfelds is a better QB then Jackson is because he can think, but he has no arm, and for a position where you need to throw it you kinda need one.

Farve would be good in Minneapolis for a year but much longer then that I dont see him lasting and the Vikes need a long term QB to go with their upstart offense.

I am excited

My girlfriend Val is coming to Boulder for the weekend. We are going to do a lot of different things, it is her first time coming to Boulder and even though it isn't very big I still have a lot to show her. I hope she is excited to come because lately when we talk on the phone I cant tell. Since the weekend is going to be nice I think we are going to go up in the mountains and do a little hiking around. I have to show her the view of the city. I wish she would stay for longer then just four days but that is alright I guess I am not that picky.

This weekend I made a choice.

This last weekend I had to make three choices on where I would like to go next quarter. It was really hard to choose because this quarter unlike the past didnt have very many choices to choose from. A lot of the agencies pulled out this year because of the financial crisis. It has hit the agency world hard. A couple of weeks ago Fallon in Minneapolis let go of 14 or so creatives. It isnt a fun time to be looking for a job, and I will have to do that in six months. But anyways, the three choices that I made where to go to BBDO energy in Chicago for an internship, McGarry Bowen in New York City for an internship, and to stay at Crispin Porter + Bogusky and do the portfolio program but if that fills up by the time that gets to me I would do the greenhouse. I really dont care which one of these I go to because I like them all. They are really cool and would be a lot of fun. I love it here at Crispin but I would also like to be paid. Wish me luck.

Origins of Wolverine review.

I must say I know a little bit about Wolverine and I feel like after watching this movie I know a little more. I thought that it was interesting to know where he came from and how everything was set in motion for him to become what we know him as. I thought the character was awesome. Jackman did a good job playing wolverine again. But he was over shadowed by the acting skills of Liev Schreiber who plays Victor Creed aka Sabretooth. He was amazing in his part, played it perfectly. Pretty much all of the actors played the roles really well. The only thing I would change was to have the person that played Remy LeBeau aka Gambit to have a cajon accent, other then that they casted perfectly. But he did a good job but it could have made my favorite character better.

Some of the graphics and sounds in the movie where ruff. There is a time that Wolverine first looks at his claws they look like shit. They look as if they didnt even spend the time to make it look realistic. It was like they just gave up on the situation or they ran out of money, or they where trying to get it out before it was really ready. Some of the sounds in the move where really off. They just made some really loud noises that didnt go with the scenes.

Other than some of the affects and sounds it was a movie that was worth seeing. It was good but not great so I give it three and a half stars. Go see it and you will be entertained from start to finish.
