Thank the advertising world for this.

This had to of come out when all of the guitar hero ads came out. It is a cool what they did for risky business but it can turn to be hilarious. This girl hit the ground harder than a box of rocks.

Not in a great mood

I must say I have had one hit after another today. I didn't get the job I interviewed for (which I started to expect after the end of last week) and I had a great message about an opportunity for a job that found it's way to my spam folder. I didn't get it and now I am waiting on pens and needles to see if they will respond back to me.

J.Lo has lost it.

Jennifer Lopez use to have talent right? Searching the deepest crevices of my memory banks I am not that sure. I remember that she had a few hit songs when she first started the scene but I really think it was because of the music videos.

Last night was terrible though. She came out to a boxing ring, she wanted to look like a boxer so she put a robe on. What I learned from the perfomance is that she can't dance anymore and the kids that she has had did a number on her body. She wore loose clothes that made her look frumpy and very unappealing. Her song was two sentences long that she just repeated fifty or more times. "I am thrown on my Louis Vuittons." Really, that was one of the sentences. I think it really just showed her as a fraud.

The best part about the performance is watching her fall on her fat ass.

J.Lo you suck.

Fantasy Sports.

This is the first year that I have ever participated in any type of fantasy sports game. It all started because courosity finally took over me. All my friends did it and they were talking all about it so I decided to look into it.

It started with the NFL a couple of months ago. I did the draft and selected my players. I really didn't know what was going on, I just selected players the computer told me to select, and some I just liked. I didn't know there is a science to it. If I did I would have selected different people all together, it would have made it easier for me. I didn't really think I drafted that bad of a team I mean I had Farve, Rothlesberger, McNabb as my QB's. Colston, Wayne, and Bolden as my WR. Daniels, and Winslow JR as TE. Moreno, Parker, McClain, and Forte as my RB's, which turned out to be trouble cause the first couple of weeks they couldn't score to save their lives. So I dumped Parker and McClain cause they had an average of 0 after three or four weeks. It was really interesting to watch my team go. There are not the best by any means but they are consistent. I just have to have the team that I am playing score under 80 and I would win.

I ended up using the waiver wire a little bit this year. I will say I had too much trust in some of my players though and I didn't dump them off until late but this is my first year and I thought I would be patient with it. My team isn't that bad right now at all I am first in the league at 9-2.

I used the information that I learned from football and put it into the NBA fantasy. I think I have an advantage in that one cause I know way more about basketball than I do about football. Watching it for so many years I kind of have an eye for who will be good and who wont. It is something I picked up when I played. I wish I attended the draft but it got pushed back so many times I didn't know when it was going to happen. But I have a good team, not a great one we are winning but I dont know for how long though.

I am addicted to these fantasy games. I need to go to therapy.

Rabbits are cookie monsters

This is proof. All these years I thought Santa came and ate the cookies I put out for Christmas, but it was really rabbits. How dare they. I know they are cute and cuddly little creatures but that doesn't give them the right to steal my cookies. They give you the innocent eyes with floppy ears combo and you never think they would be so evil.

Art

I must say after watching this video I really wanted to buy this artwork. The works in the first room were my favorite. If I would be able to make my pick I would choose the one with the bird on it. The way that the artist used bright and dark colors is really cool, it doesn't seem like there are any mid tones in it. The use of pink really drew me into these works. These are really well done. The song in the video is a little strange but cool none this less.

Lately,

Lately I have forgotten about the original purpose of this blog and I am sorry. It is really just for me to get thoughts out of my head as quick as I can. Those thoughts have really slowed down over the past couple of months I know. But I have been busy. But I plan to fix that. I will still be quick at the hip spelling words wrong, using the wrong tenses, words and so on it is just who I am. I just want to write. I dont really care about how I get there as long as I get these words out of my head. I really need to start rereading what I write so I can make it better, and I think I will make a better effort when I am finished with this one, it wont start with this one but this is going to be my last unedited rant. I need to keep the practice up of editing. I do it for my work I need to start doing it for my blog. It may not be perfect at first but I will work on it. I will also work on writing some fiction cause I have gotten away from that and I really want to write some stories. I will tell you if they are ruff drafts, cause I dont reread anything until I am finished with it.

Waiting.

Last week I had an interview at an Ad agency. They flew me out there and put me up in a really nice place to rest my head. I was interviewed by some really nice people at the agency, and I had a really great time. I didn't want to leave when the interview was done. Everyone there had so much passion for what they do they made me want to be apart of it. Passion like that is contagious, and it makes the experience all so much better.

I will say that going into the interview I was a little worried, they had a client that comes with some baggage, and that would be the client I would work on. I was excited for the opportunity dont get me wrong but I was hesitant on the client. But I quickly blew through my unease just by talking to the people and looking at the recent work they have been working on. I must say it is amazing. With all of the obstacles they have to go through to get the message out it is amazing that they still do really strong work. I would think the work would dominate some of the award shows but they don't show it.

I should be hearing about the opportunity latter this week. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I really want this job, this is an agency and a client that I really would like to work for, but it is out of my hands right now. I have been waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it. I sent thank you's to them, and I can not stop thinking that I might have spelled a name wrong or whatever. I know I checked everything over but I am still worried. It isn't like having an email where you can just look to see who you sent it to and what you said, it is a card the US postal service has in their hands. I am confident I did it correctly but I dont want to leave it up to chance.

Ad agencies reach out to the under world.

This is an ad for Mini Cooper believe it or not. They teamed up with KR a graffiti artist to create this. They really did a cool job with it using the lines of the Cooper with the lines of the fresh paint. It is becoming more and more evident that major organizations are turning to these underground artist to sell their products (Nike, Addidas and so on). They are using them because they are different and create an edge to the product that they are trying to sell. Some people see this as selling out, but it is just creating a larger audience for what they do. And one thing that everyone learns eventually that a starving artist is usually not very good.
